Kadee carries approximately 250 items in HO, HOn3, S, Sn3, O, On3, #1 and G
scales. They manufacture a complete line of couplers in all these scales as
well as a series of trucks and wheelsets in HO scale. They also have a line of
HO log car kits and accessories, coupler tools and accessories and a line of
HO hardware items. Prices range from $2 to $10 for coupler, truck and wheelset
packages; log car kits range from $15 to $30; hardware products are under $3
per package. Kadee is located in White City, OR and has been in business since
1947. In the early 1960s Kadee began to manufacture their Magne-Matic Coupler
in N scale. The company gradually added wheels, trucks and underframes. In
1972, they added a box car. Thus, Micro-Trains was formed as a division of
Kadee, specializing in N scale model trains, Magne-Matic Couplers and
accessories. In 1990, after years of growth and expansion, the business was
divided.
